Atmospheric and haunting. Full of heart and emotion. Everyone collectively comes together creating something that feels genuine an complete. Doesn't feel forced, feels and sounds natural. Like the music was born, not forced. I love this. Thank you to all the members involved in this project for creating this- and thank you for releasing it in Deans memory. It's hard to listen to without getting emotional, yet I love it as it is a part of him, and it's a way I can remember him doing something that he loved - making music.

Favorite track: Radiation.
An Ill-Fated Epilogue was recorded by Blood Rhythm in 2011. Shortly after, the band broke up and the EP was never released.
After the untimely passing of W. Dean Troxell on January 14, 2017, the members of Blood Rhythm agreed to release the EP. Dean was the brainchild behind Blood Rhythm, and was an incredible musician. May his legacy live on forever in his music.
Any proceeds will be donated to PAWS in Dean's name.

FORCE MAJEURE
raising their shields, they want another war
my body burns through the noise
all our heads split in time
as we're drug through the night, streets on fire
on fire.
on fire.
and i know there's no knowledge here
everything's gone, changing
we've waited long for this night
drawn forever
forever.
forever.
how it was:
the slowly burning ember died
my throat a live trap for the word
everything stuck in my throat
force majeure
and i cannot find any semblance of it
drunkenly stumbling through the mist
the siren wails in the dark night
it goes forever
forever.
forever.
forever.
forever.
how it was:
the slowly burning ember died
my throat a live trap for the word
everything stuck in my throat
force majeure
RADIATION
you're still here by my side
nothing can be right
take your hand away from mine
this can't escape
i won't wait
a simple thing:
under my hand, your flesh falls away.
it's not a reason for you to leave me
it's not a reason for you to leave.
but now you're gone,
nothing feels the same anymore.
in the pumphouse on the bare ground
love pours over me like radiation.
you're still here by my side
nothing can be right
a simple thing:
under my hand, your flesh falls away.
it's not a reason for you to leave me
it's not a reason for you to leave.
it's what she said
lying alone naked in bed
your body climbs
i don't know what to do with my life
but now you're gone,
nothing feels the same anymore.
in the pumphouse on the bare ground
love pours over me like radiation.

MESSAGE FROM TWO DEAD FRIENDS
when you were alive i was calling,
calling you back from the rye
every word stuck in my throat
oh...
you're calling me back
you're calling me back to life.
when i was a child i was haunted
by the mere idea of change
every breath in my head slipped away like rain
drums thundering in the basement
smoke curled round like vines
your face illuminated against the candlelight
you're calling me back
calling me back to life.
calling me back
calling me back
RED DYE
you're like the rain
coming in through my window
soaking everything
oh lord, i'm dying to know...
"it's what she said"
i said to her:
"there's not a reason to wait"
you're like the sun and the waves
red dye staining my pillow
over everything
oh lord, i'm dying to know...
"it's what she said"
i said to her:
"it's not a reason to wait"
and when the sun crosses your pale flesh in the morning
i said to her:
"it's not a reason to wait"
i washed away
it's not a feeling
coming over me
in slow motion
it's like lust
it makes me wonder
what i did to you
no one knows
no one knows
i said
"no"
"no"
"no"
"no"
Saxony
falling from the roof
the skyline glistening
stars circling 'round over my head
tell me the word
as if i were to know
hands screaming towards the earth below
i'm on the way down to find her
she did not say a word
i'm on the way down to find her
to find her
oh...
falling through your hair
as if it were dense fog
blood everyhwere between us
the almond grove
blood, sweat and sex
nothing began to make sense
i'm on the way down to find her
she did not say a word
i'm on the way down to find her
to find her
oh...
we'll find a way through all these years
it still haunts me as if we were there
finally your hair falls away
no average between us
and i can't write the words,
they're already gone.
lines of cocaine in complete darkness
and i can't write the words, not anymore.
you're already gone
oh...
